Blessing Built Baronet Cornet 1930's - Refurbished - Case & Yamaha 9E Mouthpiece Bore: .450 - Serial# 97**
Interesting build, maybe late 20's or early 30's with a 4 digit serial#. Bell Reads Factored by Blessing and is called a Baronet, not sure if the actual brand is Baronet or Blessing??? It's a lightweight horn, but it really has a big open sound! The receiver is very small, I had a short shank Yamaha 9E that seems to fit well, smaller old style cornet mouthpieces work as well but none of my short shank Blessing model 13's fit. Valves feel wonderful, very fast and light, all slides smooth, horn is in really amazing condition, but did require some bell taper and tail work. Original case is in good condition and Yamaha 9E mouthpiece has a very deep cup and sounds great with this horn. Standard shanks are too long and the horn plays flat. This is a super sweet old Blessing build, a Baronet Factored by Blessing

Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour)
Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly
Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed
Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale
***Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case.
